The P3 rig has more powerful motors with integrated step down gearboxes Installing software provided by DofReality went without a hitch and actually getting the rig to move was really straightforward.

The SimTools, were simple and easy to understand once you actually got your head round what was happening. DofReality provided links to all the software needed including all the plugins for chosen sims. It really adds to the immersion. Obviously the software used is known and understood however if you are new to motion simulators there is a fairly high level of education. The DofReality P3 rig is great value for money.

I purchased the DOF Reality H3 Motion platform because I was looking for a motion simulator that I could use for flight simulation and car racing simulation.

When I came across DOF Reality I dropped them an email and from the very start they were incredibly responsive and helpful. I purchased one right away and awaited delivery. Delivery was fast, the motion platform functions perfectly and the included sim tools software was easy to setup.

It works like a boss! I mainly play racing games and have the most series working together with my fanatec gear and wind simulation. Thanks for that! I have been researching the motion simulators for a while and have been working on designing a frame constructed out of steel. The more I began researching frame designs the more complex things were becoming on my end.

This is where DOF Reality comes in. While searching around I came across a video that was reviewing your product. When I saw the initial setup, which I believe was a 3DOF system, I began by opening up a communications channel via email with you. I had many questions and I took a shot in the dark by asking them and to my surprise, my email was answered within minutes of me sending it!

We went back and forth on the emails and then I decided to take the plunge by ordering my 3DOF system from you all. As soon as the order shipped I received an email from you stating the tracking number, documentation to read up etc.

Five days later I received my two packages. I was thoroughly impressed with the packaging of both boxes. Every item was bubble wrapped and nicely fitted together. Instructions were well documented, the suggested videos to watch were also extremely helpful. I finished assembling the frame in a little over an hour as I was just taking my time. The frame design is quite impressive all the way up to the powder coated finish!

Again, I had a couple of questions so I emailed support and again my emails were answered within minutes. Today it is a rarity to have a company provide excellent technical support along with an excellent product! When we needed to contact a vendor of ours for support we generally figured out the problem ourselves because the amount of time it took for them to answer was not acceptable. I have a very strong technical background along with good troubleshooting skills and I was becoming a bit overwhelmed trying to do this from the ground up by myself.

I received mine today in 2 packages. Allot of attention was given to wrapping all the parts to minimise damage. All the parts were individually wrapped in bubble wrap and all were in perfect condition.

The fixings are all in individual packets, labelled for each section of the build. A full set of allen keys and spanners are also provided, which is very helpful. I followed the instructions provided by DOFReality via an emailed link. They were fairly easy to follow. I got my DOF P3 about a month ago. I think DOF Reality has the best value and its quality is just as high as the high end units. The motors design is much faster than actuator, nice job. Technical support from DOF is really good too.

They know everything about how to fix these and even the popular games issues. Thanks a lot! This chair assembly is pretty remarkable. I use it primarily for flight simulators and for Elite Dangerous with the Oculus Rift. I did have one hardware issue early on, but your team was very helpful and responsive with the debug effort and sending the replacement part.

For those of you interested in purchasing the dof reality rig let me just tell you it is definitely worth every penny I spent. I have the P3 model with traction loss. I knew I would be adding extra weight to it so I decided on the upgraded Motors.

It arrives within two weeks of ordering it, which is pretty much across the world. The thing is super easy to assemble, and even came with all of the tools including real wrenches. The best part is it comes pre setup with detailed instructions for Sim tools and plug-ins for virtually every game I can think of except wreckfest. This stuff is after all experimental and can be quite frustrating to figure out. The point of a motion simulator that you spend this much money on is to use it, not be fiddling with settings and never able to use it.

Before I go any further I will say the only other motion simulator I considered was the prosimu t It is considerably more expensive especially if you plan to go 5 dof.

The motor seems extremely noisy and the articulation seemed to be much less. The original motion platform I have always wanted was the simxperience Stage 5.

I drooled over it for years. And their software can be really wonky because it is proprietary. And as for using it all I can say is it has changed my sim life!

The level of immersion is unreal. The few games I play on occasion that are not supported by motion seem lifeless. It is just so worth it! Then I read about the possibilty to use motion rig systems to increase the immersion and reduce motions sickness it really helped in my case.

So I spent some nights reading through this forum and all the different topics that can and need to be considered. I studied systems engineering some years ago so I have some background for electronics, mechanics and software. Finally due to time and space limitations I decided to get a DOF Reality as it was easier than to gather all the parts and I really love it.

As expected you can spend hours in optimizing and tweaking but man what have I missed back in the times where there was no VR or motion in racing sims…. I plan to add vibe functionality later on and we will see what the future brings. Those builds you have there are just unbelievable. Once again thanks for a great product that is very competitively priced and built solid all other motion sims on market are priced out of range.
