Ultimately, who knows if United will do something else and just decide to give it to everyone due to the negative reaction. At least that is what I am hoping for.

I have had friends get extensions and they have not flown at all this year. I feel partly punished for getting platinum, but am not close to 1k at all. Funny, just noticed my gold status got extended. Platinum status and not extended…..
